We don't often think of pebbles as keepers of knowledge, yet their smooth rounded surface tells us so much about the immense journey they've been through. Starting off as a rough chunk of earth, every Pebble has been moved, transformed, shaped and carved by their journey through water. Pebbles are keepers of the river, mottling the surface of ancient beds. Softening their shards and molding their edges against one another. So next time you see a Pebble, know that it has been transported through the birth and death of landscapes, rivers, mountains and ancient civilisations, and give thanks for all it has seen.
